There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Two Brothers Juice Box Pro tweaks...

This issue is with our 2010 RT-S...

I am learning as I go here, and have no advice to offer, but am looking for some help...

My dealer is telling me that the last two times he has hooked up our Spyder to the BUD's system, they are being told that the rear cylinder is running lean.

Well as I understand it the JB Pro runs at factory settings up until about 5000rpms... So this means it is my factory setup running that cylinder lean right? Wrong?

I called TB and spoke to a pretty helpful fella. He suggested I try this Closed Loop Adjustment.

Anyone tied it yet?

i would think something is wrong with your map you loaded. did you confirm you have the right map loaded. reload the correct map.

the jb pro should be adding fuel over the stock making it richer as the OEM setup is lean I would guess to meet emissions.

can you pull your back spark plug and check the tip. is it white (lean) or tan good or dark (rich)?

I will check that out. I did run the original, then re-downloaded the maps (Only three available0-1-2) and saw no change...

I thought it should run richer as well. That is why I am reaching out. I would hate to hurt anything when I could have made a change...

TB referred me to that video also, and that is the sole piece of info on JB tuning anyone has seen them issue. They are very evasive about giving any help on tuning the JB or the maps, or explaining how the 3-dials and the Closed Loop adjustments interact.
Both Dave01 and I experimented with the Closed Loop adjustment, but it is only guesswork unless you use a wideband AirFuel gauge to precisely measure the effect of the adjustments. I know Dave is planning to do a lot more work in this area.

There is some thought that the system Lean codes, such as P0171 and P0174 on an RT with TwoBros pipe and aftermarket filter may be false indications and not a real problem. (I am not an expert on this by any means and am only passing on info I have seen.)
Here is some info that may be related...

"At low rpm, an engine may not be producing enough gas to displace all of the atmospheric air in the tailpipe, and this will produce a false lean reading because of the extra oxygen - . This phenomenon is going to be more pronounced in small-bore engines with large diameter exhaust piping."

I sure would like to see some clear & firm guidance on this as I know several RT owners that have seen these codes come & go. If you arent checking the codes regularly, you may only know about them when BUDS is connected during service.

i wonder if the aftermarket air filter is the issue.

the map they have is with the STOCK airfilter. I read they said they felt that the BRP system should compensate for the increase air flow.

I wonder if there is more airflow enough that the map needs modified if using the GREEN or high flow airfilter with the TB Pipe.

Good question. I cannot answer that. We are still using the Factory Air Filter. :opps:

Well I would feel better if this was the case. Our Tech did tell us to ryde and we will look at it when the Valve Check happens at the 6000 miles service...

I just installed the JB pro last week and I put this setting at +6 to start with and am using map #3.Spyder is running alot stronger even at low rpms(less throttle needed for acceleration as opposed to before).

:hun: If the buds system can read the richness and leaness (new words?
) could we fine tune the mapping on the jb pro or pcV using the BUDS or is this just using the narrow band sensor?

I love what the jb pro has done so far but I can't help but think could it be tweaked since this map was not for a high flow air filter?:dontknow:

I have a RS so just 1 sensor, doesn't the RT have two sensors, maybe 1 not working properly.
