• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turning 09 Spyder into true year round machine?

A Mod that I have yet to see, even in concept, is a rear track conversion for use during winter conditions. Camoplast makes track conversion kits for four wheelers. I would love to try and figure out if something similar could be retrofitted on a spyder. Has anyone seen this attempted? Please let me know.

Thanks,
David

I've seen people on other forums put snow chains on the rear tire.

It would be tricky to get Nanny to accept such a thing. I think it would be easier...and probably cheaper, to buy a Ski-Doo.

I agree, plus the Spyder electronics may not like a lot of melted snow around them. I have had multiple issues with water during some serious rain storms.

By the time you get a conversion like that to function correctly, you'd have so much time and effort in it that a Ski Doo in the garage is way more feasible!
