• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I see all the post about Spyders in the shop. My ? is are these Spyders just the Touring models or are the RS models also included with all these problems???
Thanks Ed

all models (gs , rs ,rt) and years (08,09,10) are having ALL kinds of issues / problems ... you would think that 10 years of R&D would have a better outcome than we are experiencing

Remember Ed, most of us our busy enjoying our Spyders. As with any forum there are some disgruntled folks who use this as a sounding tool to see if others are having similar problems. A valid reason to be here. But forums tend to sound very negative since many of the posts are about problems. Those of us who haven't yet had problems probably don't post as much.

Ride it and love it...

Thats what I was thinking. I don't want to jinx anything but' I love mine. Other than how picky the PCM is.Would love to have a better sound and I know the Spyder sounds GREAT with an after market exhaust. But' danged it changes with the weather!!! Leave the stock on it runs great. I have also left my J.B. and O2 mod on along with the stock exhaust. I love it. Ride it daily. Just wish I could get a better muffler to give it attitude :D but' all of these neg. post on how they have been falling apart with out repair. :yikes: Sure hope not with the way I ride. I would go nuts!!!!!!!

I seems to ebb and flow at times. Back when there were a lot more DPS issues being posted on here, I started a thread asking people to post that were not having any issues at the time:

The last post was over 7 months ago, but it may help make you feel better if you are not currently having any problems to see you are not alone. As with anything, some of those without problems then may have them now, your mileage may vary. :D

:ohyea::yes: :clap: :agree: :clap: :yes: :ohyea:

Our Spyders have had fewer issues and/or recall notices
than the other vehicles we own (foreign or domestic).
We've had our RT 4 months and have already put 8000 miles on it;
and over 2000 on the RS in 2 months.

All they have asked is a fill up every 140 miles or so . . . .

Spyderlovers is a great resource for Spyder lovers,
what better place to share and learn from others experiences . . .
ya just gotta remember that the negative (who often yell the loudest) is the minority
and the majority are out there having fun!!!!
