• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trouble reattaching cable to frunk lock

Help! Just installed the BRP Can-Am Fog Light Kit on my 2013 ST. It took longer than I thought it would (of course) but I have it installed and almost everything working as it should. One big exception -reattaching the cable to the frunk latch. I removed the cable from the latch so I could drop the front end to make it easier to actually attach the lights. That was a good decision until I tried to reattach the cable to the latch. I can not get my fingers into the narrow opening to reinstall it. Simple I thought - just remove the whole lock assembly; reattach the cable; reinstall the complete assembly with the cable already attached. But I find that the 2 bolts securing the lock just turn when I try to remove them. There has to be something I am missing! I need help!
Thanks,
ShadyGrady

Thanks CuznJohn

Thanks John - simple but effective. I managed to hold the cable in the needle nose pliers with my right hand and sneak my left hand underneath the cowling . I managed to work the cable back into the slot with my left hand while maneuvering the cable with the spring pulled back from the stop with the needle nose's.
Thanks,
ShadyGrady

When removing/replacing the cable there seems to be an issue. My trunk release stopped working--a known issue. When dealer was doing the repair, he broke the new cable and had to order another.

Watch out for the pull back spring! That is a pain to get back on. When I was putting it back on, I slipped and it shot across the room never to be found. It still works without it (mine does anyway) so just another tip!
