• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Trip to Banff CANADA

We just returned from a 3000 mile trip to Banff from northern Calif. We made several stops along the way in Oregon, Washington, Canada, Montana and Idaho. We had great weather, really good hospitality at all our stops and the two 2015 F3s' performed perfectly. We experience just a half day of rain and the bikes provided really excellent coverage(F4 windshields). Both bikes are modified with Elka shocks, bigger sway bars, and lots of LED lights. We averaged approximately 34 mpg.
I am a convert from a Kawasaki Concours C-14 so that my wife and I could ride together. Although I miss the Connie, these two bikes provided us with an momentous vacation. Fast, smooth, comfortable, with reasonably good handling.

Thanks

Oops, I forgot to thank every one who participates on this forum. The amount of knowledge expressed from every one is impressive.
I slao just installed the RIP running boards and rode for about 100 miles. Excellent addition providing even more comfort. Thanks Ron!

Sounds like a nice trip! Was it crowded in the Canadian Rockies? It was practically bumper-to-bumper when I went through there last summer.

Traffic

Not great, but not to bad because we took some less traveled roads. However, Banff proper was crowded. Most of our other stops/stays reflected typical high season crowds.
we have done other trips to the Rockis in September with less crowds but, we experienced more variable weather.
In the future, our ventures north will take place on either end of the summer rush.
The trip was still one of most memorable despite the crowds.:D
