There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Trailering Spyder to SPYDERFEST

At the risk of sounding like a wimp my wife and I will be trailering (inclosed )our spyder to SPYDERFEST2013. I would love to ride the spyder to the event but due to my wifes physical concerns there is no way she could endure a trip from Idaho to Missouri on the spyder and I'm not sure I have that kind of endurance myself.(not to mention the possibility of snow along the way) Having said that I was wondering how many others, if any, are doing the same thing we are?
I'm the new old guy on the block with little spyder saddle time. This of course will be our 1st SPYDERFEST so please excuse my lack of courage riding to the event. The important thing is we will be there to have a great time and meet all you great spyderlovers.
I can't believe how great this forum is as I have learned so much. I feel like I already know some of you even though we haven't formally met.
I am a old Goldwing rider so I do have lots of open air riding experience prior to Spyder ownership. BTW it is one awsome machine we are loving it!

I am riding the Spyder and my wife will drive her car.
The reason is she is on oxygen and if it is bad weather it bothers her.
the bike is modified to care her oxygen bolts in the trunk.

We are closer than you are (Iowa) and we are trailering also. Similar issues for my wife so she will enjoy it more if she isn't in pain while there. We can only attend for a few days which is a real bummer but at least we can go. This is our first time as well. The main thing will be to enjoy your time there!:D

TRAILERING

We ( me & Dee ) will also be trailing both Spyders in the "lightest spyder/hauler/camper/rv in the universe" :roflblack: :2excited:..I figured a way to get both spyders in a 14 ft trl.,because it's converted from a snow-mobile trailer and they are 8'6" wide...so it works.....see you all there.....Mike & Dee  :ohyea:

Trailering your :spyder2: is no problem and don't mean your a wimp. I only had 400 miles to ride but found in April it can be very cold. I can't imagine riding your distance and the route you have to take that time of year. If you're no longer comfortable riding that distance it won't be a fun time and fun is what it all about! Tow the :spyder2: and enjoy or time at Spyderfest! And welcome to the party :yes::yes:

Stumpy said I could go if we trailered the Spyder like we did last year to SpyderFest, owner's event and Lamont's BBQ. Stumpy, my ferret, sleeps, eats and poops in the cab of the truck. He makes me sleep in the bed of the truck. So, we will again be trailering to SpyderFest this year.

Trailering Spyder

We have an enclosed trailered for our Spyder and used it for the trip to Spyderfest 2012. I like the fact that you can put the Spyder in an enclosure and keep it out of the weather.

I am a fairly new owner and have never ridden that far so another Spyder Sister and I are coming from the Washington DC area and we will each pull our own trailer...and we cant wait...this will be our first Spyderfest.

Trailering

I am not going this year, but if someone in Va. would like to barrow my trailer, I think that could be arranged.

Hey Grandpa, that's the same trailer I've got, the Alumna TK-1. Great trailer. Ramp is inside and under the trailer for those of you looking at it and wondering?

How did you mount your spare tire? Is there a bracket for the spare tire? If so, where did you get it? Nice cover too.

I drilled holes (2) in the box and put bolts thru rim with nuts on inside of box.

We are in the process of looking for a trailer to haul our two RTs. We measured and figured we have to have a 20' and looking for an enclosed one. We rode to Lamont's barbeque from eastern NC last September, and did fine, but would be better for both of us if we trailered. Some may tease about it, but all in good fun. No wimps - just great Ryders!!

Trailering

If I get the chance to go to Spyderfest this year, I plan on trailering my Spyder there in an enclosed trailer. I don't mind riding in the rain but I sure don't want to ride in the snow.

Trailering.

I'm not at all ashamed to say that I will be trailering my Spyder. It will be my first long trip using my new Air Ride AST 3 Trailer. I would rather get there fresh and do my riding in the Ozarks. Riding long distance on the slab is over-rated. This will be my first Spyderfest.
