• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

TRAILER QUESTION

picked up my trailer the other day ... seems like i'm getting a bit more popping from my exhaust ...when downshifting ...... anybody?

If you already had slight popping the increase load of engine braking with trailer pushing you would make additional popping. Also if you never heard the popping before, the trailer would create a rebound for a noise that was possibly there but you didn't hear it. When I'm decelerating down hills mine pops more when I have a passenger even, my opinion probably normal but maybe double check Y pipe gaskets;)

Don't have a trailer but have several thousand miles on with someone who does.

2 guesses.

1- The trailer reflects sounds coming from the back of the bike. May be the same popping you always had but you can just hear it better.

2- The weight of the trailer is pushing the Spyder increasing the effect of decelleration. This will give you more of the popping that most of us experience even without the trailer.

I noticed a poping sound, when I had the Leo Vence can on the spyder.. I then changed back to the OEM can.
However, some poping occured when I pulled my trailer, I then checked and found that the Y gaskets were leaking.. Since replaceing the gaskets no more poping with the OEM can pulling or not pulling trailer.

I have not re-installed the Leo Vence, but thinking about doing so prior to Gatlinburg. Then we shall see if 3rd party cans make a difference.
