• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Traffic in and around Atlanta !!!

Hello Everyone, Here lately ive noticed an extreemly aggressive driving habits of drivers when i'm on my Spyder, I have never seen how the Spyder could be missed or is my Imignation, I could count my hands and toes and tell you in the last month how lax, people are, they seem to get a kick out of puilling out in front of a bike , like we dont count, I dont know , Just had to vent , maybe im wrong , Yall watchout ,

Yours truly , midnightbreeze, Still lovin my Spyder:yes::yes::yes:

Do you think that you can find a pistol paint ball gun. A couple in the windshield should block them from getting your license #

I haven't found it to be any worse on my Spyder than when I'm in my car. But I did install an air horn on the Spyder just in case.

I've noticed since getting on the Spyder the behavior of many motorists is much worse than I am aware of when driving a car, and it's bad then. I attribute it to having to be at the very top of my A game when on three wheels -- there are people out there who will kill you with about as much remorse as splattering a bug on the windshield. Perpetually scanning, always looking for an escape route, etc., makes one much more aware of what's going on around you. It's much more work than driving a cage. JMO.

There is a difference between someone trying to get in position to get a better look at you and someone who is just being agressive. If the latter then let then go and create your space again behind them.

evidently bikers do not count... look at the shootings in Waco.. just think if police had shot 9 people in Ferguson, Mo....:lecturef_smilie:

I've lived in Kansas City, St. Louis and Atlanta. I had thought St. Louis had the most harrowing traffic, and then I moved to Atlanta and it was much worse.
Atlantans are the most polite folks on the planet - until they get on the expressway.

I would agree, since I'm one of those Atlanta driver's.... Except I continue to be polite on the road. It's because I ride, I make sure I'm always looking out for motorcyclists. Especially on the interstate, but there is a fair share of out-of-towners that make Atlanta seem worse... It is the major artery of south east with thousands of commuters passing through every hour.

The best offense is a good defense... Don't be distracted and have your wits about yourself and definitely upgrade the horn to something that can be heard by a cager.

As I see it..!!

This is everywhere...as I always say, "trust no one to do the right thing". You want to test this. ??? Come with me for a trip up to LA (Los Angeles CA) must be why they call it "la la land". :roflblack::roflblack:nojoke

After I lived in the Atlanta area for a while, I realized the poor drivers all had Florida tags! I started calling them Floridiots!

When I am in my car, I watch out for motorcycles( 2 Wheeled and Spyders) we all share the roads, ( Cars, Trucks, Spyders, etc.) I think that everyone should be more aware of their surroundings on the road, ( I know that is difficult at times) We all have very busy lives.

We do add farkles ( or add horns ) to our spyders to try to be more visible ,so other vehicles can see us. Just venting Deanna

I do my best to stay out of rush hour traffic but I usually end up in it about once per week. Here on the NE OTP, I 85 starts getting ugly at 6:30 am or so and it doesn't clear until 10:00. On the PM side, Spaghetti Junction bogs down around 3pm and doesn't clear out until 7:30 or so. If it's a holiday weekend, then all bets are off. That gives me only a 5 hour window to get ITP, take care of business, then get home. Not fun.

Believe it not not, I understood everything you said!

I am noticing that here also on the main highway. Traffic seems to speed up in the summer. Everyone is in a extra hurry to get someplace.

There has been a fatality accident about once a week for the last month or so.

The Police and Troopers have been out in force and I note someone is getting a speeding ticket almost every time I drive on that highway.

Please drive aware and expect the unexpected. It could end up saving your life.

I lived in Atlanta for 6 years and had to learn very quickly how to drive without being ran over. Some Atlanta drivers are MANIACS!!!

Atlanta has some of the worst traffic I've ever been in...right up there with DC, Miami and Seattle. I never had that much trouble with St Louis traffic.
