• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trading up ( maybe)

Toying with the idea of trading my Peral White 2011 RT Limited for a 2014 or 2015 RT limited . Are there any bugs or recalls or any problems I should consider ? Thanks Mr. Philgood.

GREAT IDEA

The 1330 Ace engine is a dream come true .........plus you can still find a leftover 2014 RT and $ 5,000 or more......There where only minor changes in the RT for 2015..............JMHO...Mike

Not to worry..!!

your worry should be price, color, model and incentives. Issues or problems you can eliminate and read all the praise for the changes...

Mike's got it - minor changes like color.... My dealer sold a new 2014 RT "S" SE6 for $21,500 yesterday, so there are good deals out there still. The best deal would be for a BASE, but that's your checkbook...

No issues to report on 2014 RT or 2015 RT so far. The switch from 998 to 1330 is a major upgrade. I am sure happy with my 2014.

Go for it! :2thumbs:
It's not just the engine; but that alone would make it worthwhile!
The sixth gear in the transmission lowers cruising rpms by a HUGE amount...
The 1200 watt alternator is giving the batter a much better drink of electricity...
The cooling system has completely made heat complaints a thing of the past.

The ONLY downside: the electronic frunklid release button will now needed to be purchased as an accessory.

A small price to pay! :firstplace:

I have just shy of 4,000 since Oct. on my Spyder, love it! Bob Denman's comments are the key synopsis, IMO. For me the electric frunk release is a non-issue. YMMV.
