• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Traction control question

hey guys,
I have a 09 se5 and I'm curious how to activate the T/C? When I first got it I would hammer on it from a dead stop and it would spin for 2 or 3 feet and then the T/C would kick in.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I took off the mud flap and cut the licence plate wire this week. Today I took it out and did a few launches (in preperation to drag race it this friday) and it was laying rubber all the way thru first gear and a bit thru seconed????

I'm not complaining but I'm cunfused?
Thanks

The traction control works via the ABS wheel sensors. It will allow you to spin the tire up to a perceived speed of about 30-35 mph in the forward gears...provided the handlebars stay straight. If the steering angle sensor detects any veering, the nanny will slow things down. In reverse, it hardly allows any wheel spin...before shutting off the engine.

So, if you can keep it straight, you can spin the tire (for a while), but not if it gets sideways in the least.
