• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Track Rod Covers - My Mods

I have a Spyder RT - S SE5 2010 Model

I have upgraded my Shocks to the ELKAs - Front and Rear - I had Spyder Shock Covers on my OEM Shocks and have used these on the
ELKAs as when removing them the OEM Shocks were still in excellent condition

See this thread - http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?17245-Shock-Covers-Installed&highlight=shock+covers

I have noticed that the Track Rods are exposed to all the elments esp Dirt/Salt being located between the Wheels and the bodywork and wanted to cover them to keep rust etc at bay

Having looked around I have found a useful and very inexpensive solution

I have used Flexible Convoluted tubing with the slit and this was cut to the correct length, these just slips over the track rods (See Photos)
and offers complete potection - They can still be removed with ease to allow cleaning and polishing if you fill the need to

Flexible convoluted tubing. Black.

Manufactured from nylon. Offering high strength, flexibility and good resistance to abrasion.
Available with or without a slit down the length which enables fitting in-situ.
The 'spring' in the material closes the slit after fitting, protecting the cables.

I used Convoluted Tubing Bore 11.5mm - O/D 15mm

They do not rub against any of the other fittings and remain in place when turning full lock on the steering

Hope others will find this mod useful
