• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tour Windshield Evaluation

Got my BRP tour shield mounted with the Laminar Lip.

Had her up to 90 mph on the interstate. Felt air around my head, but no buffeting. Absolutely no pressure on my chest at all. The noise level was normal for me as I've been using a removeable shield for a Harley for the last 4 years. All those shields ever did was take the pressure off the chest/head. Could never smoke a cigarette like riding a dresser. Felt real good. I'm 5' 10" tall.

Ran through a some rain. Not a heavy rain. Arms got wet, but moisture coming over and through Laminar Lip felt more like mist. No heavy rain drops on my goggles.

I wear a half helmet with the zip on ear flaps. I also have a novelty cap. I wear goggles with both.

Very happy at this point.

So far, done with:

Amber fender lights
Highway pegs
Rack - backrest
02 sensor, air filter
Micron Black Carbon (Awesome sound!!!)
Tour shield - Laminar Lip

Installing 1" riser tomorrow

Won Ebay purchase of Cortech bags yesterday, on the way.
Bustec hitch coming (on the list)

Still searching for solutions:
Hand Brake (cable type)

My passenger was with me when I scaped my pegs riding the Dragon, on a softail, but asked me to slow down at a 270 degree offramp yesterday. Hmmmmm. 8) You know the inside front wheel had air between it and the asphalt  Maybe I should consider a stiffer setting on the front shocks. ;D

Do you have a picture of your cabon micron on the :spyder: bike... Seen the stainless and a few colored microns but no carbon actually on the bike...

Thanks

Can you post a pic of the shield also... with the Laminar Lip??

Thanks!

Glad this is working well....

Did you mount it on the touring shield?

I am curious on how tall you are? I am 6'4" and still haven't found a good windshield yet. Tried marcels Evo II and it is not working for me. Tried the ultra sport today and thought it was better but when got into heavier wind it didn't help.

Hubby put my shield on this week. I love the short stock shield but I'm not liking that I can't wear my shorty. I haven't ridden yet since he put it on but I hope it helps. In hot weather I do not like my 3/4 helmet - I'd rather wear my shorty that I used on my Harley. Plus I need to see a little better - I have very nice prescription riding glasses and I can't wear them w/ my 3/4. I'm only 5 feet so I am hoping I get better coverage. Is this the standard touring shield you got from BRP?
