• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

to remove the body panels of the spyder it has funky screws are they tork screwdriver tips and what size do ya need to remove them ? will a auto part store sell them ? thanks Rich

Yes you can get the correct screwdriver at most hardware or autoparts store. There is one in your tool kit.

By the way it's Torx.

If you have a RT, there are a couple that never should be removed. They are easy to spot since they don't look like the rest.

You should have a Torx wrench/driver in your toolkit. You can find a wide variety of screwdrivers, wrenches, and interchangeable bits anywhere that sells tools. As was said, do not touch the silver security screws with a stud in the center of the recess. Instructions for removing the body panels are in your Owners Guide.

Where on the RT would I find one of these? I haven't run across one yet, but I've only had the panels off for oil changes / maintenance so far...

I think he was going for silver security screws. They are located on the middle panels just below there your knees would be.

LOL! Those must be the ones!! Before I ever removed a panel, I watched Lamont's video, so I never even paid attention to those being security screws! I just never paid them any mind at all...

Thanks!

As for the sizes of the bits... most panels come off with a #27 torx, but I found a few smaller ones that use a #20. I also found that the tool provided in the kit seems to have one size that doesn't fit anything (at least that I've found yet)
