• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Top 5 motorcycle brands in terms of units sold

Interesting..!!

gonna have to look at #3 and #4 cause don't know those two...:dontknow: must be like India and or china.....

I was in India for 10 days in March 2014. Heros were the popular bike. If you had money, then it was the Royal Enfield Bullet.

Hi wiredgeorge,

Re: Based on unit sales worldwide.

1 Honda
2 Yamaha
3 Hero MotoCorp
4 Bajaj Auto,
5 Suzuki

I found this same info earlier today. I also found that Honda sold 10 million in 2004 ( the only year I could find info on ) and Harley-Davidson sold ( in 2004 ) 330,000. In the past 8 yrs, BRP has sold 100,000.

Sort of tells you who the gorilla in the corner of the room is.

While you folks are trying to figure out engine size and such... I'm trying to figure out this new math. '5 top motorcycles' let's see, 1, 2, 3, 4... Am I missing something? (If I knew how to put emoticons with tapatalk I would put a rofl.)

Hi Bob,

Re: I'm already the happiest!

Remember that thread that I started: It's H*** Getting Old and some of your comments about that lovely, young thing that I saw that morning?

Now, do you think you might just be able to be happier?

PS) And just so no one misunderstands, my Spyder is the most fun I have ever had with a motorcycle. But, there is always tomorrow.

I haven't been able to find a break-down by manufacturer or brand, but total sales of motorcycles in the United States for last year was almost 484,000 units.
