There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Too short for a Spyder?

I just love the look of the Spyder and am seriously considering buying one in the next week or so. Just wondering if at 5'4" I will be too short for the seat height - is this even an issue?

I'd appreciate any advice you can give me on accessories I should consider adding when purchasing my Spyder? ( I think I'll get the Silver one !)

Thanks !

Hi Monique and welcome :spyder:lover!

My lovely Wife-L-Unit is only 5'1 and seat height and pegs are pretty much irrelevant with the Spyder as it has three wheels and no need to hold it up and worry about seat height like most bikes.

As you're not the tallest person, NoMagicNeon has 4" handle bar risers that will pull the bars up and back a bit for comfort. Taller windshields such as Cal Sci will be great.

You've seen Spyders and have been intrigued. Go ahead. You won't be disappointed.

Jump in...the water's fine....or welcome to my parlor said the Spyder to the fly. I am about 5'2" and have ridden my Spyder over 6,000 miles. In wind, rain, through potholes, over RRtracks, through sprinklers, across lawns and over small squishy things on the road (missed the skunk). My husband agrees that the Spyder is probably the best thing built to take my kind of driving. :spyder:

Seat height is irrelevant. It is the distance from seat to pegs and seat to handlebars that matters. I think the handlebar reach is a bigger concern than the seat to peg distance for short riders. Seat height is only an issue if you try to mount the Spyder from the ground like those of us who have ridden two wheels for years. You inevitably scuff the seat with your boots. We finally learn to mount it using the peg.

I'm also 5'4 and only added 1" riser and sit almost strait up

I am only 5' tall and have no issues. I am going to install risers and am getting a custom seat, but I have ridden about 2900 miles to date with no issues. Buy it, you will love it!

5'3" here and the Spyder fits great. Definitely go sit on one and see if you feel comfortable and do a demo ride if you can. I even ride with my husband on the back and I love not having to worry about balancing the combined weight.

My wife is 5'2" and she loves hers. Added the one inch riser, but she hasn't asked for more yet. She does lean a little forward, in a sport bike way (or more sport-touring), but she is comfortable. You will love it! Take a demo ride.

I am only 5 ft. and haven't really had any problems other than wiping this grin off of my face. Where there is a will there is a way.
