• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

tire wear

I had the rear tire on my 2014 rts fail inspection at 6200 miles.I compared the cost of installing a new kenda rear tire at my dealer, to the estimated cost of gasoline for 6200 miles. It comes out about the same. I am guessing front and rear tire costs could be double the cost for gasoline.
How about that for a selling point BRP

Tires

Go with an auto tire. They last much longer. Type tires in the search box and you will find many alternatives.

Put the right car tire on and you could get 20,000 miles from it. I currently have a 215/60/15 Michelin Primacy on our spyder for 15,000 miles with plenty of tread left.

If I had to worry that much about spending money; I'd just stay home... in the dark!

You got it....

My mistake, thought this was going to be a fashion post
:roflblack:

I got one of those, been with me for way more than 20,000 miles. :roflblack::roflblack: wife is always saying..when are you going to get rid of that spare tire..?? :roflblack:

Well honestly dont know what brand tire was stock on mine when I got it.(they change so much) But managed 15,536 on rear & 19k on fronts. Heard great things on car tires if you can find shop that can safely put on spyder rim (funny size, ez to mar). Would be great it some company just would get it right & not kill the environment in process, or after.

:welcome:

Some of the early 2014's had a softer rubber compound and they did not get as good on mileage as previous versions.

Many experienced 4,500 - 8,000 as pretty much an average. I got 8,900 off my "soft" version. On prior versions, I was getting between 12,000 and 15,000 miles on a rear tire. I now have 12,100 on my current rear tire. Starting to show some wear, so will probably put a new one on somewhere between Mar and June.
