• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tire Size, Nanny & VSS

Does anybody know for sure if the Nanny and VSS on a Spyder are calibrated for the OEM tire sizes front and rear(165 & 225)????? There seems to be many riders that mix sizes. Just wondering how these other sizes affect the computer brains of the Spyder.

WOW!!!!! How did you come to that conclusion?????? My question has to do with how the Spyder computer traction control system reacts to non-OEM tire sizes. I doubt if it's as forgiving as the engine management system that can advance or retard the ignition depending on octane used.

None of the tire suggestions I gave you will affect the NANNY ..... if they had you wouldn't have been given them ...... and I wouldn't have posted what I posted.

Hi Mike (T)!
The Nanny can compensate for variations in tire sizes up to "about" 9%...
If you keep it close: you'll never have any trouble!

I have the Federal 165-55-15's and an Altimax 215-60-15 and the only issue I have is the bike handles better so I am getting Nanny aggravated in the corners more often :lecturef_smilie:
