• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time to take Spyder in for 12000 check up

I was hoping to ride it up to the dealership Monday for the 12000 (I actually have over 13K) inspection and an oil change. Also gonna have them look at the upper exhaust bracket or whatever it is that so many people have found theirs was disintegrated down to a "C" shape. Also, my check engine light has been coming on intermittently, with no rhyme or reason. And on one ride last week, I experienced what many here have been describing as DPS failure, I believe. I was riding down the highway and all of a sudden my spyder seemed to veer to the right and was harder than normal to steer back to the straight position and then all of a sudden it would be easy again and I would jump too much or overcorrect. This happened a handful of time and was kind of scary. So I guess that really should be checked out. So if the weather is going to be bad anyway, my spyder can be sitting at the dealership getting things taken care of as easily as it can sit in my garage.

Hey, Deb, see my recent post about the gear position sensor... sounds like this. New part number for it.

Deb - I hope your dealer is more open-minded than mine.

I talked to the shop guys when I was down there the other day... picking up the sensor.

I told them what I was doing and they made some reference to "just internet rumors". That ticked me off... big time.

I told them it was not a rumor... had happened to me... (steering). They then shut up.

I took my to the dealer to have a minor thing checked out. I told him that my steering didn't feel like it had power steering and of course I really don't know because I haven't tried any other Spyder, so I explained to him about these Threads he said when I bring back my Spyder for the Service He will do research from BRP about this. He also asked me to let him know of any other threads so he can prepare himself of others. I thought it was cool he is that open minded.:2thumbs:
