• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Several of us are riding to the ThunderBeach Bike Rally in Panama City Beach, Fl leaving on Friday 9/30 and returning on Sunday
10/2 plus planning some PCB area riding as well as a Spyder Meet & Eat Sat 10/1. If anyone interested in riding we are leaving
Clermont/Mineola at 6:30am, Wildwood at 7:15am, Lake City at 9am, and then riding backcountry and waterfront to Panama City for about 4 more hrs of ryding time... They may be some Spyders from Georgia and Alabama meeting up with us there.
This rally is nearly as large as Biketoberfest at this point and has a beautiful beach location with a more friendly environment than most

I'll plan to hook up with you in Lake City. Where is a good meeting point???? No Cafe Risque in Lake City is there? :shemademe_smilie:
C-YA there RL & Mary

I might be able to go, do you all have hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday nights, if so where and do you have a number for them, so I can try to make reservations, are you stoping at Wildwood for breakfast or just to pick up riders.:dontknow:

on Friday and Sat nights We are staying at the laketown wharf resort - a condo high rise on the beach who is an event sponsor and giving 25% discounts for thunderbeach attendees.. Its a beautiful Place.. go to www.thunderbeachproductions.com to get their number and other options. Hammerhead Fred's , the location for the Spyder Meet & Eat on Sat is just down the street from Laketown Wharf..

The times at each city are departure times - anyone wanting to eat at that location should arrive and eat earlier. It is likely we will stop as a group enroute for lunch before we reach Panama City Beach or just as we do.. Hope you can join us.. It should be great fun

I just made my reservations at Laketown Wharf Resort, in Panama Beach. Where will I meet you, when you get to Wildwood at 7:15am. :2thumbs::yes:

In Lake City we will meet and depart from The Cracker Barrell restaurant. We now have six :spyder2:, a goldwing trike, and two
twowheelers confirmed for our ryde. Still room for more

If you haven't been to this rally, your in for a great time. The venders stretch from the Bay Point Marriot to Pier Park and across the highway from there is Frank Brown Park. Pier Park is a very popular place with the bikers and for as far as you can see on both sides of the main road its all bikes, parked. I also believe that that is where the Miss Thunder Beach contest is held. Although they may hold it at different locations at each rally, since TB stretches for miles along the coast line.

Last Spring I did meet several other Spyderlovers and a few that didn't know about this site. I did tell them about it and talked with another, who had a problem with his truck in Ala. He left his truck for repairs and rode his RT the rest of the way. I never got to meet up with him but will some other time. The Spring rally was at the same time as Spyderfest.

Last fall I was in a trailer watching a pinstripper do a fender for a Big Dog Chopper, at Black Jack Custom Cycles. Glancing out the side door, I saw a flash of a Black RT fly by and later learned it was BikerDoc. It was good to see another Spyder at this event and I just wished I was able to meet him but, he left for a previous engagement. Another couple contacted me a week before, Gene109 and his wife Rhonda and they were coming in from South LA on Friday. I met them at Winn-Dixie and took them to Bay Point Marriot where they had reservations. That weekend, a one Spyder family tuned into a two with His/Hers. They both enjoyed there time here and said they will come back.

I hear all the time that the Fall rally is smaller than the Spring rally but its hard to tell when every where you go, whether its to checkout the venders or grab something to eat there are hundreds bikes every where. Living here, I enjoy the noise and than Sunday comes and it gets very quiet and I can't sleep. :D Talking to a friend Saturday, she said I have only seen one other Spyder besides yours and that one is up for sale on 23rd street. I told her just wait till Thunder Beach, you'll see more than one from what I have reading on SpyderLovers.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all and I may be busy during the day at Black Jacks but at night will be free. I helped them out during the Spring Rally and was asked to help them out again.

Ryde Safe All......PCBeachBum
