• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thumbs up for my dealer, Contant, in Mirabel QC

Last week I purchased a set of Givi saddlebag frames (PL999) from the dealer I purchased my Spyder from. He had them on ebay as "demo" frames that had been on a showroom RS & removed at sale & put back into their box.

I easily got them on my '08 GS then ordered a set of Givi E21 saddlebags from 2nd Gear in Calgary.

They came on Tuesday & guess what....they didn't fit onto the frames! GRRR.

After much research I discovered that they had put PLX999 frames in the PL999 box (there are very similar). Well I took them off & traipsed back to the dealer & in my not very good French tried to tell them they had goofed. Finally a parts guy joined in & went & got a V35 saddlebag off a showroom RS & it fit my frame.

PL999 is for the regular Givi monokey saddlebags
PLX999 is for the Givi V35 saddlebags

The upshot is they got onto the Canadian distributor & ordered the correct PL999 frames & will have them delivered to my door tomorrow.

I'm happy with the outcome as I get brand new frames, delivered, at no extra cost above what I paid for the (wrong) demo ones.

For any of you in my area the dealer is Contant in Mirabel Quebec. There is a lot of dealer animosity on the board so I'm posting this to show there are some with integrity.
