There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Thumb Throttle

I'm a long time snowmobile rider. I've ridden a Harley for the last 9 years and this spring I purchased a Spyder RS. I love the Spyder. It's just like riding a snowmobile. Way more fun and comfortable than the Harley. I do however wish it had a thumb throttle (like a sled) rather than the twist grip. I know bikes have a twist throttle but on a 2 wheeler you really don't turn the bars much, it's more about leaning. The reduced bar movement on a two wheeler lends its self well to the twist throttle. On a Spyder however you have a lot more bar movement to control the bike (like a snowmobile) and I find myself really missing the thumb throttle in this situation.

Anyone know of an aftermarket conversion kit to do this? I did a little Google searching but not much came up.

It's a throttle by wire setup... While I like the idea of a flipper; finding one for this application is gonna be tough.
Happy hunting! ;)

Funny, the thumb throttle is the first thing we get rid of on the skis...

Well..!!

not enough intrest I would think. ATV's and sleds have after market supplier for twist throttles. But no one has ventured to make thumb throttles for bikes. If you manage to do it let us know how that works for you. Criuse on a thumb throttle may be a problem and touring may make for a sore thumb...good luck..!!

Not having a hand brake it might be easier to do a finger throttle.....there are quite a few aftermarket companies that make finger throttle levers.
