Throttle sticking???

Today I attempted to install a throttle lock on my 2013 st sm5. As fate would have it the part does not fit(even though it was advertised to). I was then faced with putting the original end cap back on the bike, seemed simple enough. One black plastic ring, one spring, the end cap, and a screw. Now my throttle sticks after the aforementioned procedure. I took it apart and examined it many times, am I missing something here? Any help would be appreciated, can't be riding around with a throttle that sticks. Thanks

Little checking..!!

if the throttle does not stick with the end cap off it means your getting it to close to the grip and it is rubbing up against it. Have not seen the 13's but on the 12 we have I had a similar problem when adding weighted bar ends. Had to hold throttle side out a bit before tightening..if the throttle assembly was loosened make sure you re-tighten it pushing it in towards the center. Hope this helps..!! :thumbup:
