• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We have just received in the new Stealth design throttle lock cruise assists by Kaoko. :2thumbs:

We first saw these at the Indy show this year, but unfortunatly they did not manufacturer a size that would fit inside the stock Spyder handle bar diameter. :(

Black Dog Cycle Works, their USA distributor worked with us in Daytona this year, and we helped them at that time to develop this unit just for the Spyder.

After waiting for these like a "kid for Christmas" they finally arrived yesterday afternoon.

The install into a stock handle bar takes all of about 1 minute, and the operation and adjustment for use could not be easier.

We will try to get these listed on the site as soon as we can, but until then or to order one please contact us directly.

The retail price on these will be $110 00

Plastic or billet aluminum? And will there be a matching piece on the clutch side to match?

They are billet and the Stealth units are just for the right side as they are made to really blend in pretty good when installed.

If there becomes enough demand they may make the large weighted design in the future if we ask them to. Right now they made these first units for us at our request.

I guess these are for stock grips and do not fit the ISO grips?:dontknow: Thanks in advance for your reply.

I have been told by BDCW that you remove the Kury end cap, open the hole in the end up a bit and they it go right on.

They tell me this is done all the time for their Harley and metric customers who use Kury grips.

I imagine that if you have the KewlMetal bars, which are a standard 7/8 bar, then you don't need these Spyder specific units?

You would have to contact Kaoko or Kewlmetal about that? I know it will require you to have an ID measurment of the bars to be sure.

Just because it has an outside 7/8 diameter just like the stock Spyder ones do they can have a different inside diameters depending on tube wall thickness. That was the problem with the Spyder bars the factory ID is different than any of the others they already were making.

Thanks MM, I have both bars and a micrometer so I'll take some measurements. The factory end caps go in just fine but they are very pliable so minor differences aren't important.

I'll post what I find. (but it will have to wait, the Spyder is at the dealer getting it's 600 mile service)

I just got a chance to take a little ride with this unit today. It works well and the install couldn't be much easyer. It takes a little getting use to if you've never used a Thottlemister type lock before. Once you figure it out it's pretty easy to activate and to shut off. :doorag:
