• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thrilled to no end

Went to pick up Spyder today and surprise my husband and we both got surprised. He didn't realize that the Spyder came in and we were actually going to pick it up so when we got there to test drive the demo it took him by surprise that it was there. Now for my surprise when they rolled i out not only was it clean but it had a hindle exhaust already installed. It turned out that my husband had ordered it and asked the dealer to have it installed when we picked it up. Talk about surprised it was a wonderful surprise for both of us.

So after 30 minutes of going over the bike with the shop mechanic and salesman I decided to take it for a quick spend and then let my husband drive it home. So off I go and 10 minutes later when I return I had decided ot drive it home myself. My husband was thrilled and disappointed at the same time because I know he really wanted to ride it home. So we leave and he follows me and 40 miles later we pull into the driveway and I can't stop smiling. This was the best feelng I've had in a long time.

Now he goes inside and gets his bike and we decide to go lunch. We usually eat near the house but not today another 30 miles logged and we stop for lunch. While we are eating lunch there are many people looking at my bike and his is getting ignored. I can tell he is not happy but never says anything. We get ready to leave and after answering questions for 30 minutes we go to get gas and the questions continue there.

We mount up and on the way home we decide to stop by my moms house who hates the fact of me riding on the back of his bike so I know she is going to have a cow about me riding my own. We get there and I think my dad id going to have a heart attack in his front lawn. He is so shocked that I'm actually riding a bike. My mom comes out and she takes it much better than I ever thought. We stay for a while and decide to head home.

After a few more stops and another fill-up we get home and now I am beat. I guess I understand now when my husband says I didn't plan to stay out that long it just happened. What was intended was a trip for lunch ended with 150 miles on my first day. I am a little stiff and tired but my husband says it from not being used to riding.

Looking forward to riding tomm already and enjoying my new bike. We had scheduled my 1st service for the 2nd week in august but I think we will have to move that date up early. The shop said 6 weeks is usually about the timeframe for a new rider but I guess they didn't acoount for thr fun factor combined with my husband always wanting to ride..

I will post pictures on Monday my camera cord is at the office soI couldn't upload my pictures..

Hope everyone had a great weekend I know we did....

How delightful! A surprise for each of you. Really neat!!! Hope you let him ride it soon. Sounds like you better put him on a leash, though. He might go on another extended ride. :D Have fun, enjoy the Ryde!

Hi Deb! 'Sounds fantastic! After riding that long, how was the sound of the Hindle? I have a custom exhaust (Cherry Bomb Pro Cat-back) on my V6 Nissan Frontier, and it has that drone at around 50 mph. It's pretty much always present through the range with a pitch change. I was curious if on the Spyder the sound would become a bit much after awhile on the rode.

On YouTube, I have heard both the Hindle, and the Micron. I think they sound fantastic!

Glad you had a great time. I have a few more months to wait and get my :spyder:
