• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We are gonna spend a couple nights in Kerrville. Gonna ride the CTX1300 and the F3-S up from southern tip of Texas, and ride the Sisters on Wednesday 11May (our 26th wedding anniversary!). If you’re in the area then, give us a shout or wave us down. Would love to meet some fellow forum members!

Keep a wary eye out for sport bike riders (and others who ride beyond their skill level). They have gotten pretty brazen the past few years on the sisters. Last time I rode there, we encountered several riding so aggressively, they had no choice but to cross into the opposing lane to avoid running off the road in their own lane. Middle of the week probably won't be as bad as weekends though.

ride safe and have fun!

I live in Kerrville. We don't ride often on the weekends anyway, anywhere around here because of the high traffic volume. Everybody leaves the big cities and heads for the Hill Country. There is a lot for them to see and do on the weekends. We have found 4-wheelers to be the worst to share the narrow roads with. Generally the 2-wheel and 3-wheelers are very friendly and respective on the roads. Due to the remote riding areas, usually if they see you pulled over on the side they stop to see if everything is ok - as do we. The Sisters are fun but we usually find ourselves meandering on the MANY little backroads scattered throughout the area.
