• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have seen some talk on the drain plugs, but nothing really for sure, and what about the trany filter they have? Advertised filtering to 35 microns, any idea what the paper filter are? Thanks in advance

I am not aware of any rating data on the BRP oil filters. Passenger car and light-duty truck oil filters typically have an absolute micron rating in the range of 25-30 microns. "Absolute" means it will filter out 100% of particles a certain size or larger. Typically, only the manufacturer knows the Micron Rating. And they, for the most part, aren't saying.

If you do find micron data. It is meaningless unless they also give you the percentage of particles at a certain size that the filter will capture. Many times what you are looking at is a 50% capture rate (or lower). This allows them to list a smaller micron size, which is misleading. If not an outright lie.
