Thoughts on a seat color

Hello All

I'm pulling the trigger on a new 2016 RT Special Series this weekend. The bike color is the triple black so you have both gloss and flat black colors coming together. I'm ordering a Russell Day long seat and trying to decide on a seat color. I really don't want to do the traditional black if at all possible as I'm the kind of guy that likes something different. Russell offers multiple options in leather colors and I'm thinking perhaps a dark bomber jacket brown or dark titanium, maybe a combination of titanium and black with a diamond stitch pattern. I'm open to suggestions as most of you have seen much more out there than I have, thoughts?

Thanks.

Opinions...

I like the weathered leather look for a bit of contrast...Pictures when you have them :lecturef_smilie:

And here I thought I was going to be the first one to suggest "RED" cause red and black are great together. Silver or titanium are also good matches.

The special series has an orange tongue so go with orange.

I know you and I talked about this Saturday and I thought red would also be nice. Thinking on this more I remembered that red fades the fastest of all the colors and when red fades it looks pink. Just something to keep in mind.

PS - I have a take off seat that fits your bike if you would want that to send to Russell. Russell just needs the pan and some of the stock foam. This seat has a cover coming apart so would work. If interested let me know and I will ask the owner if he will part with it ( I am sure he would).

Excellent point regarding the red fading and looking pink. Based on the leather samples I brought and held next to the bike, the graphite and black combination looked the best and also kept true to the blacked out nature of the special series. Think I'll go with that combination. Very much interested in the older saddle you mentioned, please speak with the owner and see if he would be open to something around that. Also, does he also have the passenger back rest as I think i'll need to provide that to Russell as well. I'll post up pictures when I take delivery in early July and again when I fit the Russell onto the bike.

Thank you all for your ideas, much appreciated.
