I swear this Co. has its Gull showing off in Tampa with 48 spyders. Now we know why we don"t have ours.
I wonder just how much CROW they think we will eat.First they don't keep there own rules. Now they are setting up 2009 sales and they don't have there 2008 sales filled yet. They better be taking care of us first.I'm not saying anymore about it I get to mad thinking about it. First time shame on them second time shame on me there won't be a second time. wildwillie :edit:

48 of them?

Wouldn't having those on the road with owners........ who have been waiting, all over the country, be the better sales pitch??? :agree:

That sucks

Wildwillie, when did you order yours? This is the published delivery schedule according to BRP:

1. Customers with pre-orders received by BRP by July 15, 2007 – dealers will receive delivery of the "Premiere Edition" by March 31, 2008

2. Customers with pre-orders received by BRP from July 16, 2007 to September 17, 2007 – dealers will receive delivery of the "Premiere Edition" by April 30, 2008

3. Customers with pre-orders received by BRP from September 18, 2007 to present until further notice – dealers will receive delivery by May 31, 2008 (not "Premiere Edition" Spyder roadsters)

4. All pre-orders received by BRP (for the semi-automatic sequential electronic transmission SE5) by January 29, 2008 – dealers will receive delivery in September 2008

5. All new pre-orders (for semi-automatic sequential electronic transmission SE5) after January 29, 2008 – dealers will receive delivery in November 2008 until further notice.

Therefore, it looks like even if you ordered prior to July 15, 2007 BRP has until the end of March 2008 to fulfil their delivery obligation. If you ordered between July 16 and September 17, 2007, they have until the end of April. Were you told something different?

Regards,

Bruce

Do you think those were new spyders ? those are the demos that people beat the crap out of i really dont think you or any one waiting for a new spyder would want one of those i think you need to check on what your talking about before you go throwing brp under the bus. this is a brand new product it will take some time to iron out issues.Im still waiting for parts i ordered 5 months ago. Think about it we will be driving the coolest bike on the planet :spyder:

I went to Tampa last week to go fishing in the Bay and when I pulled in to get a Hotel, the Hotel I stopped at was where all of the BRP rigs were. 3 nice semis and around 50 Spyders, I walked over and looked to see what the numbers were and the one I looked at was 734 I believe. I may be not exact on the number but it was for sure 7 series so they are indeed new bikes not the original ones. Oh yeah and one of the BRP guys left their door wide open on the brand new 4 door dually while sound asleep inside at 2:00 in the morning.
It was kind of cool to roll in and see the whole parking lot full of BRP semis and truck and trialers with alot of Spyders out front.

Bruce I ordered my on the 16 July 2007. The salesman at that time said that they were expecting delivery some time in Oct 2007. Then I think some time in sept. BRP come out with this schedule.
I would like to know how customer have ordered and received premiere edition spyder after sept 18 2007 and you still have customers waiting that ordered before I did ,and I still don't have mine. Thats not right .Also why can't we use our deposit money any where we want to it all went to you anyway. Tell me this where are all those units going after they leave Tampa, you don't suppose they are going to show up at bike wk. for sale? thats all.wildwillie :spyder:

Well, I can see why you are ticked off. :( Hopefully with the pace they are now producing them, you will get yours very soon. I sure hope so.

o ordered min on oct 26th got it feb 9th premium ed #1004

Morgcl,
I do not want to offend you in any way and let me say I am happy you are a Spyder owner. But I just read one of the other threads about you not getting a jacket with your Spyder and that you are upset by that. It was my understanding that any orders taken after Sept. 18, 2007 did not qualify for a first owners jacket and were not even guaranteed a special edition Spyder. You should be more than happy that you received one with such a late order and you have it already. My husband ordered in Aug and I ordered in early Sept. 2007 which are considered late orders as is and we are still waiting. We may not have ours until the end of April. Because we ordered before the Sept. 18th deadline we did get our Jackets though. So I guess I just don't understand why you are griping over a $200 jacket that you didn't qualify for anyway when you got your Spyder already. I know this sounds like it is coming across with attitude and it is not intended that way, believe me. I just don't understand

well mam, as i ordered my spyder in late oct then you would think that the dealer would have known that i wasnt going to get a jacket. they took the form and had me fill out the size that i wanted. that and the fact that it was stated that the first 2500 would get the jackets. brp changed their mind i guess. I have mailed a letter to brp concerning this. i dont want anything other than what the dealer told me i was going to get. the dealer should have been informed.

thanks for your concern.

You are right, the dealer should have known and not gotten your hopes up. It seems that some dealers told their customers correct info and other dealers did not. I also was informed by our dealer that the first 2500 Spyders were limited edition but there was no guarantee that all 2500 would get a first owners jacket, only if ordered by Sept. 18, 2007. That is what I was told by my dealer and what I read on the BRP site. So I apologize to you and I am sorry your dealer was not better informed. Congratulations again on the new Spyder though.

I ordered mine on fathers day, but I haven't recieved mine yet . Oh I Have a jacket, but has anyone concidered as well, that Canadian's had to pay 19000, even though our strong Canadian dollar is worth the same or more right now...and those in the US paid much less?????

Thats a bummer about the dollar exchange they should adjust that to the current rate when you take delivery.wildwillie :spyder:

Makes sence to me. Hell, they could give me a rebate or credit on accessories or something. The problem is you couldn't pry that Spyder out of my dead hands...I want to ride again so bad!
