Hey Bob, I made 8 of those bacon explosions in the last 4 months of 2014, tried the original recipe, then used different types of bacon, applewood, hickory, maple, etc., and different types of sausage, hot and sweet Italian, bratwurst, even breakfast sausage, and almost any kind of sauce and rub I could find. Once the BE was sliced and put on the serving table, average was 4 minutes till GONE! I've got requests for more as soon as possible, but I'm waiting for warmer weather.
