I love the Spyder community! It's remarkably generous and most everyone reaches out to help everyone else. :clap:

One of our illustrious (and well-lighted) members in particular gave me some help recently and I had a chance to blog about it. Thanks again, Phil!

I had a couple of people ask the exact parts Phil found to make this work:

RAM-B-348U 1" Ball with 1/4" - 20 Hole for Tripods (this screws into the Butler Knuckle)

RAM Mount Aluminum Short Dual 1.0 inch Socket Arm (this mounts on top of the ball)

RAM Universal X-Grip™ Cell Phone Holder with 1" Ball (this holds the phone)

Well written, and I love that X mount for cell phones, holds my EVO perfectly as well!

FaranH, I take it the Phil you are on about is Phil from Tyler Texas
(Has more mods on his Spyder than used on the USA space programme)

I have followed his progress and found his Threads to be excellent, He has offered me assistance in the past and I have learnt from
his experience and wisdom, He is indeed a Great guy and with others who make up the family of Spyder Lovers.com make
the ownership of the Spyder well worth it

Great blog post... and Phil is an excellent example of a Spyderlover. :thumbup:

If you don't have the Butler knuckle but still want to try a ram mount there are a ton of options.

Their newest is a waterproof case for your phone that can be clipped to your belt and docked to the bike without having to remove the case! Very cool stuff. http://www.rammount.com/Products/AquaBoxMounts/tabid/125/Default.aspx They have one for iphones and one universal (larger size).
