• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Third installment of Cross Country blog...

there are very few things worse that being wet and cold plus having to make a deadline or riding for time as I call it.

Glad you got on route 66, stop and see len at cowtown, best dealership in the US.

Enjoy the ryde. That's what it is all about. Be Safe and as you say BE THERE WHEN I GET THERE.
:ohyea::ohyea:

Wet and cold + snow = BAD!!! So, good decision!!! Hope you got pictures over the bridge at the Hoover Dam!!!

Enjoying your blog! Good writing makes it all come alive. Scratch and sniff seemed to be muted on my computer!! For the life of me I could not get it to work!!! :gaah:

cowtown

I agree with Seth on cowtown being the greatest. I stopped by cowtown yesterday, introduced my wife to Len so she would know who i had been talking about since spyderfest. Len helped me with my seat adjustment and many questions i had since purchasing my rt. Even though i did not know about cowtown at the time and didn't buy it there Len spent a lot of time with me.
It was great being back in Cuba and seeing the sights again.

Seth and Chicken - i'm definitely headed to Cowtown, soon. i had to skip it on the ride back because of the storms, and after the Joplin tornado i stayed south. but, it seems like Cowtown is the Spyder Ryder's Mecca, so you have to make a pilgrimage, right? :bowdown:

Doc - i'm at about 3,300 right now. with what i did in LA and the trip home, it was around 3,046 when i pulled in.

Bull-i think it was only 2,600 when i got to Memphis. btw, you gonna pull the trigger on that addition? haha :popcorn:

SpyderAnn - I DID!! it was beautiful, one of the immediate signs that i had made the right decision by turning around.

Dynamo - got some pics of the at the dam, but not on the bridge. by the time i was going over it, there was a really strong crosswind, so i was too nervous to video myself going over, too. but, i got some good video driving under it, does that count??

Thanks for reading, guys. I'm working on the video now, it will be included with the last installment.

I like your writing style. I also like how you let the road and weather conditions dictate how you rode home, and where you went. I look forward to the days when I don't have to be somewhere at a particular time, and can do the same thing you did on this journey. :thumbup:
