Great....

There is some great ryding in the redwoods, been up there at SITR three years running. This year headed to St George Utah. The are in for a great trip wish them well . Now if they drop down here to San Diego then head back to GA the southern route let me know. They can layover here...:thumbup:

I did a 6000mi trip in 2014 and was working in 2015....am not working in 2016.........Hmmmmm

• Are the "legs" considered to be a day's ride each?
• motels or camping?
• ride like B. Denman or E. Knievel?
• total time planned?

they normally ride until done,,,,,,,,,,, they don't have a set time set for each "leg" they are anticipating about 10-12 days total............
camping,,,nope camping at holiday inn express & places like that yep............ hahaha
last year there were some days that they did 800 miles & then some days that they only did 200-300 just depending on how they enjoyed the sights

latest updated route for the Wild Hawgs Style Cross Country Ride June 4th 2016

Hey guys,

I can’t get mapquest to forward the route so I decided just to type it up and send it to yous guys and let y’all put it in and play with it.

We’ll meet up Saturday morning at the Cracker Barrel in Cartersville, GA at 8:30, fill the bellies and roll north up thru Tennessee and Missouri and hopefully into Kansas depending upon what kind of time we make and the weather.
By Sunday night I’m hoping we can meet up with Art somewhere in Kansas and make it on over the Estes Park, CO
1) Monday we’ll leave Estes Park and go into and thru Rocky Mountain National Park via US Hwy 34 which will take us over the mountain and back down to Granby, CO and from there we’ll begin our course west thru Steamboat Springs on US 40/US 191 which will take us into Utah
2) Next high points on the route include Salt Lake City and time permitting a stop off at the Bonneville Salt Flats as we make our way to Redwood National Park. (if we have time we can go a little north into Oregon and see Crater Lake National Park
3) From Redwood we’ll head south to Sequoia National Park which will take us thru San Francisco and Bakersfield, CA
4) From Sequoia we’ll start heading back east thru Las Vegas (we’ll stay the night here deposing upon what time we come thru) and over to Great Basin National Park in northeast Nevada
5) From Great Basin we’ll make our way back across Utah stopping off at Capitol Reef National Park on our way to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National park north or Ouray, CO
6) From BCOG Nat’l Park we’ll head south down to Ouray, Silverton and Durango, CO on famed US Hwy 550 also known as the Million Dollar Hwy
7) After leaving Durango our next stop is the old southwestern town of Santa Fe, NM
8) Last stop before turning completely for home will be Madrid, NM, home of what else “Wild Hogs!”

If you guys see anything on the map that you think we should stop off for just say the word, I’m down for anything.
