• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

THE "MURPHY BROWN " SAGA, TRAVELS OF A "LEGEND "

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
I just said farewell to Karyl as she continues her journey back home to Washington St. from my home in Vermont. I had the privledge of hosting her for 3 nights & 2 days..If they ever have a Spyderlover's Hall of Fame she MUST be in there..think about it. She has ridden her 2 yr.old RT from the West coast across the country to the tip of Nova Scotia and is now returning..UNBELIEVEABLE. She is my Hero I hope to be able to do what she does when I'm her age (I'm 65). While she was here relaxing HaHa..,we did some riding 165 miles day one. Rt 17 Vt's mini-dragon..Rt 108 near Stowe where the turns are so tight 30 ft Motor Homes can barely make it, and if there is one inch of snow they close it..then just some nice twisty seanic roads which included covered bridges, old farms/barns, ski area's, waterfalls etc. the usual stuff...we came home, ate, relaxed, watched a movie and slept for another day..Day 2 my friend Andy, mechanic extradinaire, and human GPS, offered to take us on a tour of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. We did 265 miles total.. This included the "Kancamagus" road the "bear mtn loop" road ( closed most of the year. it's awesome) then thru "Crawford Notch" and the base of Mt Washinton ( still a little snow on "Tuckerman's Ravine" it was a bad snow year, usually they ski into June) then onto so many small twisty roads that day only Andy could tell what and where...But Karyl felt she put her new Elka's ( from Cowtown, thanks Lenny ) to the test. We did lunch ,got stuffed, then didn't have room for dinner, chatted, went to bed early.. And now She's gone and I miss her company. She is one amazing person. We had chatted prior to Spyderfest because I knew she was coming East to go to Nova Scotia, and had invited her to stop-over at my place for some R & R either coming or going. She had tentitively accepted and we were going to meet at Spyderfest...Then I couldn't go to Spyderfest, but got in touch with her while she was there and asked if she was still willing to visit without ever meeting me face to face...Well she trusted my Profile History and had faith in Spyderlover's and the rest is History. She may share more detail with her personal feelings / experiences on some of this stuff that's her call. In summary I am so glad she visited I had a fabulous time and think I am a much better person for the experience.....THANK YOU KARYL, you are welcome anytime..Michael

Ya Karyl, you are a legend. I doubt that you have any idea of how many people look to you for inspiration. I know I do. I'm very proud to be able to call you a friend.

That's really nice of you Mike, you're a great guy for opening up your home to a fellow Spyderlover.:thumbup: I'm really glad you were able to show Kayrl some of our beautiful state.

That is awesome. Sounds like you need to open a Spyderlovers bed and breakfast, because you really know how to host!

Seriously if you ever plan on VT...I know Mike would roll out the carpet for you...that is his style and the way "he rolls"...oh yea, he did not mention that he is also an off the charts awsome cook...man if I'd stayed any longer I would have had to buy a size larger jean....and I enjoyed EVERY bite. Incredible doesn't even come close...I had such an  time...
Thanks Mike...
