I created such a mod way back 2 years ago before anyone announced (publicly at least) any mass produced product. I got my first set of red LED's while at Laconia back in June 2008.
Since I now have the RTS, the wheels and fenders are exactly the same. But I wanted brighter LED's. Wider too. I found these and will wire them up. These are 12v units, without any pre-build flashing circuit.:2thumbs:
I created a tapered wedge insert to accommodate the curves of the outside edge of the fender. I basically took a piece of white plastic molding (Plastic wood), carved it, and cut it to shape and painted it black. 3M Automotive double-sided tape will hold it together. This stuff is supah strong!
