• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks to all you spyderlovers!

My daughter finished her two senior projects, one in engineering design and one in machine tech. She wanted to thank you all for completing her survey for the Automatic Cat Food Dispenser, and I wanted to show off her machined aluminum, brass and polyurethane camera mount for the Spyder and helmets.
Lots of 3D modeling, lots of rapidprototyping, lots of machining. She learned, well--lots.

We are still learning about setting up an anodizing station, and we have all the components, just have to start mixing dyes and acids and try a part. (So far I learned the "AAA" rule: "Always Add Acid" to water and dye, not the other way around. It would be bad, apparently....sssssBOOM! or something like that.)

Links and more photos are here on the off topic forum.

Two days 'til she graduates, then it's off to the Coast Guard Academy...and I get to have a CT diner meal with RoadDog, Smylinacha, and HDXBONES!

Thanks again everyone. This was just one more way the members at spyderlovers.com helped someone out.

"AAA", add acid to water because the liquid added to is the one that splashes:doorag:.
Thank her for her service, adding her to our prayer list.
