• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you to Roger and Cape Hatteras ??

First I want to thank Roger for his work on My Spyder. We are planning our October trip and I wanted to make sure I had all the updated dealer info loaded on my phone but I was surprised all all the other little goodies that Roger has loaded into that APP. Well done!!

We are heading for the Atlantic and plan to travel through the mountains to eventually get to Cape Hatteras where we have a room on the ocean reserved. Coming back to Georgia the plan is to travel highway 12 all the way down to the bottom of the Cape and take the ferry across back to the mainland from Oracoke to Cedar Island.

Have reserved a place for two Spyder RT's and trailers on the ferry and they tell me they see quite a few Spyders on the ferry but not many pulling trailers. If any of you have ridden the Spyder on the ferry how much clearance is there on the ramp going up (or down to the deck)? Does it pose any kind of problem? I'm assuming this is a drive on and then drive straight off type of ferry.

Would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Wow..!!

sound like a fabulous trip. Everyone should have Rogers app spyder codes / my spyder when traveling. It has so much more than just codes and what they mean. As for the ferry, if they see spyders often you should be fine I have never gone hope someone here has so they can comment...enjoy your trip..!!

2of us riding Spyders took the ferry last year. There was plenty of room and had we had a trailer it would have been no problem. You are correct it was a drive on drive off ferry.

The ferry hauls cars so the ramp is very wide. No problem.

No problem with Spyder clearance on the ramps. I would suggest you get there early even if you have reservations. The ferry rides are fun but the open water can be rough in the fall months. What route will you be taking back to Georgia?

Thinking of overnight in Beaufort, then a leisurely trip to Laurinburg the next day. Want to stop in Greenwood SC the next as I have a client there and then on home the next.

Love Beaufort. Our favorite small waterfront town. Blackbeard had a home there and his ship, Queen Anne's Revenge is being excavated just off Beaufort Inlet. The maritime museum in Beaufort has some of the artifacts on display. We're about two hours west of there. Maybe we can meet if you have time.
