We got to Colorado Saturday. Rode from Canon City to Cripple Creek to Colorado Springs and back to Canon City today. All was well until we got back and stopped at Wal Mart. When we started up, I got a check engine light. I had printed out Can Am Spyder dealers before we left and started calling. One number was disconnected, the others were closed on Monday.
Because of this wonderful forum, I had written down how to pull up codes.
My code was a PO127. We didn't know if we could go ahead and take it the 10 miles back to camp or needed call for a tow.
I called my hero FARAN. I left her a message and she called me back in just a few minutes. She looked up the code here on spyderlovers and told me it was a high temperature code. And that possibly if we let it set and cool it may be good to go. We did but the code didn't clear. We pulled over again and talked it over. We had checked the oil and the coolant and decided that if we got out of traffic and could get some air to it that it might help.
It did!!! Yeah, the check engine light did go off.
So, thank you very much Faran for helping me!
We sure do appreciate you.
After we got back to camp, the first thing we spotted was a beautiful silver RT. And met a wonderful couple headed to Durango and the owners event. It was so great to meet them.
Hope everyone traveling has a safe and code free journey.
Leslie
