• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you spyderlovers

I just want to say thank you for all your support and ideas. Not many people who have never met you would offer to drive 400 miles to come and get you and take you home. I want you to know I really appreciate it. If any of you are ever nearby my home in north florida and need help don't hesitate to ask. There are a lot of wonderful people here and I enjoy this site. Thanks to Lamonster too for all he does. Everyone just be aware and be careful. It would break my heart if any of you got hurt because you didn't know there was a problem.

:2thumbs: and keep us tuned in on how you make out:ani29:
I wasn't there but all I can say is you done good yesterday

This brings up an interesting point. I am also a member of the Valkyrie board, even though I sold my Valk a few months ago, and there was a system developed there whereby members around the country subscribed to a pool that would offer assistance to another member in need.

It was simply a state by state, city listing, accessible to members by clicking on the main board and showing phone numbers of participating members. I would certainly be prepared to offer my assistance to anyone in, or passing through the Phoenix area.

Ditto for me. I'd be glad to provide my phone number if it could help anyone experiencing problems in the East Central Florida area. Maybe a section of the forum could be devoted to this.

:2thumbs: Ride with the Red Knights and they have list of members that will come and get you with a trailer, come with tools, let you spend the night,etc.,etc. This is anywhere in North America and when you join you are asked to fill in a sheet with any help you can give or offer.

The "Spyder Web" would probably be more help than the dealer list since folks here seem to know more about the Syder and its problems and fixes than many dealers.

I'm just glad you're okay. If ya had said so we'd have driven to Atlanta to help ya anyway we could!
I'm glad you told us of the incident. I rode mine today and was aware of the symptoms the whole time. I think it's great that you told us. Not your fault the machine has it's problems. Not your fault if it makes others wary to the point of not liking their machine either.

Keep us posted on what you find out. Be safe!

I would certainly be willing to help someone in need, Shop, lift, trailer, tools, mechanic, and a dealer six miles away. !00 miles north of the big apple, in the Catskills.:2thumbs:

Thank you!

Thanks for the heads-up, I truly believe being forewarned is being forearmed. It is always good to be reminded of what can go wrong, because so many things can and do.

I wish I could do more.

Tom
