• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank You for your Assistance and Ideas

HelloSpyder Lovers Members,

I purchased a used (like new, 2months old with a1000 miles) 2011 Timeless Black RTS in Aug 2011 at a great price. I have been lurking around on this forum for a long time and have found some great information. I’m a new motorcycle rider and have managed to put 4,000 miles on my Can Am so far. I did have the exhaust pipe break soon after I purchased it which the dealer/BRP took care of. I haven’t had any problems since then.

I want to thank all of you for sharing your knowledge and helping me out tremendously with information, removing panels, changing oil and upgrades. I took the Spyder apart this summer for 2 weeks and installed the items below. It was challenging, fun and I learned a lot about where things are located at on the Spyder. I no longer feel intimidated with removing the mirrors/panels and IMHO every owner should know how to remove the panels.

When I decided to install the CB kit instead of the dealer, I also completed these upgrades since the bike was apart. Whenever I ran into problems I searched this site and found an answer to whatever issue I ran into. My IPAD was very handy during these upgrades. My wife was a little nervous with everything disassembled but I managed to get everything back together without any extra nuts, bolts or washers.

Rear Dual Brightsides

Stebel Horn

Seal floorboards, RT Deluxe
SpyderPops RT Radiator Block OffPlate

The Garmin 765 has Bluetooth so I can see who is calling but I choose not to answer calls when I’m riding. I know there is cell phone interface kit that I can connect to my GPS but when I’m riding I want to get away from phone calls.

I have a few more items I want to install like HID headlights and fog lights. I found a lot of information and brands but I haven’t narrowed it down yet, any suggestions will be helpful. I don’t do a lot of night time driving yet so this upgrade is low on the list.

I’m getting ready to order some Elka Stage 1+R front shocks after all the rave reviews from this forum. I have been looking at the Drop Tail trailer to haul my spyder http://www.droptailtrailers.com/product-p/03-sst2200-02.htm. I see some of the other members have this trailer. I like this one because I can fold it up and store it in my garage.

I was looking for the wiring connectors that BRP uses and I couldn’t find a source on this site. If someone posted this I apologize in advance. I found and used these for my wiring connections that I want to easily disconnect, http://www.touratech-usa.com/Store/PN-015-0080/AMP-superseal-2-pole-connector-set. They are available for connecting 1 – 4 wires in a connector. They work great but you have you make sure you install the pins correctly because you can’t remove them unless you have the wiring tool, which I didn’t buy.

Once Again, Thank You
