• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nov.10th we'll be heading over to San Antonio to present all the funds raised for the Wounded Warrior Project.

This is a Police Escorted Motorcycle Ride. The Route is Interstate 10. We start in Houston and finish in San Antonio. You must be able to obtain and maintain highway speed (70 mph) for several hours.
Blue Knights International and Law Enforcement Agencies from all over South Texas will be involved on the trip along I -10 from Houston to San Antonio. These men and women are on their own time and their own dime.

This Ride will end on a Military Base.
There are Special Requirements for This Ride
Motorcycle riders on military bases are required to abide by many regulations that are not required by state laws. The Texas Honor Ride has obtained permission to reduce the military requirements for our police escorted riders. You must comply with the following when riding on-post:
Both driver and co-rider must wear: helmet, eye protection, full fingered gloves, long sleeves, long pants and boots.THR riders are not permitted to roam around the base.Absolutely NO GUNSORWEAPONS allowed on base. Not even CHL holders.

[TD="width: 658"] Notice:
Pre-Registration is strongly encouraged, but you can register at either of the two locations the morning of the Ride. If you intend to register on-site, only CASH or CHECKS will be accepted. Credit cards will not be accepted the day of the event.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Please print a copy of your receipt and the Release and Waiver and bring them with you to the 'Pre-Registered' Table at the Registration site.
Note: You CANNOT pre-register and just show-up at BAMC in San Antonio. Un-escorted riders will NOT be allowed on the base. You must come to one of the two registration sites on November 10th to complete the paperwork, obtain a THR wrist band, participate in a safety and base briefing and then ride with the THR police escorted ride to gain access to the base.
Only riders and passengers with (THR) registered wristbands riding under Police escort and participating in the Texas Honor Ride will be permitted to enter the base.

Registering Option#2 - Exit #619 Rest Area (45 miles East of San Antonio.)

After the event you are on your own.
Enjoy San Antonio or head home. It's up to you.

We will be joining you on this ride for sure! Already pre-registered. Looking into hotels now. Will see what type of "group deal" maybe we can get if a few of us decide to stay. If not a LED night ride back is always good with us too :2thumbs: Will post hotel information once I am able to make a few calls & do a little research

Resrevations

Deb's making then t'night. We may look into getting a room N of SA. Putting us closer to a leisurely ride thru the hills on the way back Sunday. Craig, if ya'll have already made accomidations in SA let us know where..

We haven't made any reservations yet! Looked like ya'll were the only ones considering staying over. Do yall still want to? Or have a LED night ride back? We are fine either way. Hoped more would go/stay over but guess not by the reply count

Made reservations tonight at the hotel you recommended. Looks like it's just the 4 of us. We gonna have FUN!!!

Sorry Guys & Gals ,
Bonnie and I cannot make this one. We will be in Dallas for the Motorcycle Show over the Weekend. Have fun and be safe on the ryde. Riding for a REAL GOOD CAUSE always makes it enjoyable.

Spending the night is going to be smarter IMHO. Gonna be a long day with an early start. We can hook up @ Kroger on 336/45s, around 6:30am. We can either take the highway or run thru the woods. Probably be quicker to run into town and take the loop around to I-10. Still have plenty of time to figure it out.

Wish I could make it since l live in San Anton and am a Vet but work stops me. If you are riding to New Braunfels on Sat I would love to join in if you want company.

P.S. Read and re-read the base requirements because they will NOT let you on base if you fail to meet even one of them. They are sticklers which is why I NEVER rode my bike to work in over 30 years of service.

The wife and I plan to to ride out to the last registration stop at EXT 619 and ride back to San Antonio with the rest of the riders. :spyder:

Sounds like a plan, We'll let you know where we are staying the night, you can hook up Sat morning when we get ready to head out. Maybe more of the locals will want to join in and make a half day of it. Plan on heading back home via 290..

Are you leaving Sat or Sun. Original post says event 10 Oct and leaving the next day I assumed Sunday????? I see I messed up on my reply saying Sat meaning Sunday.
