• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

teardrop camper

I have not seen this pull behind camper previously discussed. It is made in Canada and is under the 400 pound towing weight limit for the Spyder. Be sure to change the text to English if you don' understand French.

WOW ... base model only 300 lbs, that's pretty amazing considering the BRP trailer weighs 260 lbs. ..... They didn't give a weight for the up-scale models though ????? ....Mike :thumbup:

Towing requires acceleration and deceleration. Consider:
Add the weight of the camping gear and other stuff you will bring along, plus the weight of the trailer. Most likely, the total will be 1/3 the weight of the Spyder. You will need electric brakes on the trailer in order to stop effectively. If you don't, the trailer will push you uncontrollably.

Shame there are no dealers south of the border. I would like to see one. Doubt I would buy it due to the cost. But still would like to see it.

Looks pretty cool. I don't think It would be comfortable pulling is a good cross or head wind. I wonder how many motel room night rentals it costs..... Jim

tear=drop camper

One of our members " Joelthebiker " built a very nice lightweight rendition of a tear-drop camper ..... He posted pics somewhere ...... Mike :thumbup:

My wife says she’s game and go ahead and place the order. She wants to sleep in it while I drive down the road:D

Click the link above and a drop down appears that allows you to select English.

Can't do that on the phone or the Tablet! :( And while I know enough French to pick up a gir... errm... trouble all around the World, my French translating skills just don't stretch to translating too much of that site!! :rolleyes:

It gives you that option with IE and Chrome.

That sucker is a bit pricey. $9,000 base, up to $15,000. It says it's 8 feet long, but I don't know if that includes
the tongue.

English

:coffee: It has the drop down on my lap top. The cell phone had the box displayed at the bottom of my screen. Way to pricy for me. .......:thumbup:

OK, I figured it out. Firefox does not have a built-in option to translate a page. You have to use an external translator. It is p*** poor web design that they don't have a parallel website that is in English. That's what I was expecting to see. Putting a website through a third party translator can give you screwy results some times. Every other international web company I've surfed has a parallel website in English. That way they control the language, grammar, and choice of words you see. It is particularly egregious that this outfit doesn't have an English version of their website. After all, surely their market is all of Canada, and outside of Quebec English is their first language.
