• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tank Protector - from WrapMySpyder - My Impression

Received and installed my tank protector from WrapMySpyder.com today and am pretty pleased with the end result. The protector is a bit pricey at $59 plus S&H ($6) but the product quality is good and is provided with clear and concise instructions along with alcohol wipes and a few extra decals for good measure. If you follow the directions the install takes less then 15 minutes and the end result is very good. All in all, I'm very pleased with the product which should help keep easily scuffed and scratched gloss black tank from being affected.

Decal?

Is that white "decal" below the gas tank part of the protector, or is that an add-on decal?
That is, could you apply it without that white decal?

Hello,
If you are referring to the "F3" text just below the gas filler, we offer a free option to choose a color of your choice to apply on the tank before you install the protector. This customer used Silver Metallic. Other wise it will just allow the color of your tank area to show through.

Here is what it looks like without the background decal as I did on my Spyder. I put the tank protector more toward the front of the seat to protect the paint from scratches from my coat zipper.

To glossy for my taste. And still does not protect where needed in the area where the thighs rub on the gas tank close to the seat.

I have the same one.

I also got the same protector, even in the natural carbon fiber. I got the ultra-silver which is metal flake. I was also impressed with the quality. I was intimidated by watching trucks being wrapped at work, so I paid a professional shop to do it. After watching them, I wouldn't hesitate to do it myself. The tank protector isn't a thin film like a typical wrap, its a thick applique and not easy to tear like a conventional wrap. At some time in the future I may add the dash kit as well. The protector is a good value for the money.
