• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Talking handling.

Time to re-tire?

Hi everyone. I do not own a Spyder, but have been following the development of these great machines for almost two years. I have been reading the posts concerning the handling issues that are popping up with the RT and came across a video the other night that really caught my attention. It was a video of an RT being pushed hard through a slalom course and the thing that jumped out at me was the incredible amount of tire sidewall flex that was taking place. Could be the tires were under inflated or just the wrong type of tire for this vehicle. (Fred's comments about inflation changes between 15 and 18 psi making a difference in handling show this tire is very sensitive.) In any case, the sidewall flex was extreme and it made me think the first thing that I will replace on this vehicle when I buy one this summer will be the tires. This tire/sidewall/inflation/tread combination could very well be the cause of the twitchy and inconsistent handling that some current RT owners are experiencing. Maybe you guys could get some video of the RT from the head end doing hard slalom maneuvers at different inflation settings and check it out. (Sorry - I cant find the video I was talking about in this post. There was beer involved when i watched it.) Any, hope this was helpful. Best wishes to all - always.
