Riding home from the dealer today using the Go Home by curvy roads mode on my GPS I stopped a might early to refuel as I didn't want to push my luck in the Tar Heel backwoods. Since I was listening to some background music on the GPS's MP3 player and didn't want to leave the Spyder lights on, I used the "Accessory" mode Finless Bob has told us about, turn the key off while holding down the ECO button. Motoring some distance after the fill up I glanced at the analog tachometer and noticed it was reading high for my speed and gear. Varying my speed I saw it was reading 300-600 RPM faster than the digital tach depending on the speed. I wasn't too concerned about it as I have to return to the dealer in a week or so for the parking brake warranty repair. Twenty or so miles farther on I stopped again for a head call and drink/snack. I purposely did the key walk and, sure enough, when I got back on the road both tachs were reading identical RPMs. It's amazing what a key walk will do.
