• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Been a while since i've been on here. Taking the 2011 RT SE 5 apart for cleaning and painting the black plastic. I have not figured out how to remove the plastic peice around the rocker switches. I have the sides loose bolt in the middle by glove box I have 1 keeper can't figure out how to get it loose. Any help would be appriciated. Looking at the expolded view of parts shows a keeper but not sure how to get to it.

I believe that you need something called a "Carling tool"...

I used a couple of really small screwdrivers, and really just messed things up. :opps:

image_16103.jpgIf you go to harbor freight, they have a small package of plastic panel tools for the cheap $$$. Haven't pulled my center rocker switches yet but have used them to pull other small pieces of plastics apart.

:agree: with using the tools mentioned ..... However removing the surrounding panel isn't easy and requires a lot of Tupperware to be removed first ...... good luck .... Mike

You need to take the entire glove box assembly off and then take it apart. There are screws down under it and kind of deep to get to.
