• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Surprising Phone Call

This morning I received a call from BRP, customer service out of the blue. The call started out asking how my Spyder was running, and if the issue I had when it was first purchased was still OK. The call continued with questions such as what would I like to see different about the Spyder, what I liked and how I like my dealer. They also reviewed the campaigns that were needed for my Spyder and which ones I still needed to have done. I was extremely impressed by the nature of the call and willingness to listen.

Great job BRP in not being afraid to open a can of worms, and the willingness to listen to your customers.

Apperantly they have been calling for the last several weeks, since I noticed on my caller ID calls coming from BOMBARDIER PRO and a 819 area code. I finally got to answer since the several times they have called I was either at work or out of town (persistant too ;)). I had the same comments and emphasided on the factory/dealer relationship, in which the surveyor was saying that dealers are "independent agents of the manufacturer", in which I replied "you realize that you used the word "agent", meaning that they represent the manufacturer" and if you have a bad "agent", then your product takes a bad reputation, to which he took in consideration.

Another curious question that the surveyor gave me was on how I felt being asked about the :spyder2: when on a parking area/rest stop, etc. My answer was that I actually found it fun, although sometimes an inconvenience but never a problem. He commented on that saying that he had a lot of people answer him that they did not like the attention, to where I said "then why did they buy it??":joke:

Having purchased four Spyders (2008, 2009, 2010,2011), I am still waiting for my call. Guess I'm not worth talking too :roflblack:

I guess they figure you're a convert already and the folks who've only bought one might still have some of those stray thoughts??? Who knows.

That really wasn't Bombardier! It was really a political survey to find out who you are going to vote for. Depending on you're answers, you might not be around on election day.

"None of the above!" :banghead: Ok I feel better now.

Spyder sighting in Buffalo!!!!!

Spun my work van around yesterday after seeing 3 Spyders at a restaurant. Was hoping is was a ryding group but ended up being 3 Reps from BRP (excuse me).

They were great to chat with & had just come from visiting my dealer. They were super friendly & interesting to talk to. For other RT LTD owners.....I mentioned that at the price we paid, driver floorboards & a high third brakelight should be standard!! Not sure if it'll help but.......

They seemed to know that PR could be better. Maybe the tide is changing??

I too just got off the phone with the same representative that you had spoken with. She mentioned you by your handle on Spyderlovers. We had a very nice 45 minute conversation about so many various things. She truly cared! Thanks again Emy for everything.

Heck she was so proud of the photo she got to take with Lamontster that she said is on his facebook page. I will have to go check it out.

She mention the picture with Lamonster to me also.. Yes she did care, and most of all, she was a good listener. She accepted all comments and never once got defensive. Its a good sign for sure!!

I did receive a call from Emy today. So, it would appear they are watching the site a little.

It was about a 45 minute conversation about all things Spyder. I was asked a lot of questions and gave her my honest opinion of things. She mentioned it was very cool that I have owned a 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. She asked me if I will end up with a 2012. I did say no on that. See improvement below to see what would make me buy another one.

I do have a good servicing dealer, so could not complain about bad service in my area.

My dislikes about the :spyder2:, I mentioned the bad original equipment seats. I have replaced seats on three out of four of my :ani29:,s. The fourth will be replaced before next riding season.

RE: BRP clothing & accessories--Too high priced in my opinion.

My suggestions for "improvement". The bigger, quieter, engine for the RT. A la Goldwing. I did mention if Honda comes out with a trike or a reverse trike that IMO, there would be a large defection to Honda if BRP does not answer. I know there are Honda trikes--but all are aftermarket conversions. The dealers up here will not work on these, and say they void the warranty.

My opinions seemed to be appreciated and Emy was very cordial throughout. I came away from the interview with good feelings--providing they take into consideration some of the things they are hearing from all the people called. It also seemed that I was not alone on my opinions, and there are a lot of :spyder2: owners with like opinions.
