• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Super bike vs super cars

Our rider brethren on an H2R ($50,000) runs against a Veyron ($2,2500,000) and two other super cars in the 1/4 mile:doorag:

I would have preferred to see the street version of the H2 do the run since the cars are road worthy, the H2R is track only. I would also like to see a ZX14 ($16,000) or Hayabusa ($14,000) run with the big dogs of the car world.:yikes:

A quick lookup of 1/4 mile times
Veyron 10.2 sec
Street Stock H2 9.6 sec
2012 ZX14 Stock 9.5 sec
2012 Hayabusa R Stock 9.9 sec

Those cars would have eaten the ZX-14's lunch... nojoke
As strong as it is; it's just not in their league up on the top end of the speedometer.

The zx14 is limited electronically to 186mph and does the 60mph dash in about 2.5 seconds. The unrestricted busa ran just shy of 200mph. The zx14 unrestricted is faster than that.
It would be a very close run but you'd need some monster sized balls to do it.

In my younger days I've been 175mph+ but I was shaking when I got stopped. Even that was to fast for me. I can't even imagine 200mph on a street bike!

Gotta say..!!

That is no way to enjoy the road...:yikes::roflblack::roflblack: old age has slowed me down to the 120's.....

To be fair; I don't believe that happened out on a highway...
Slowed you down to the 120s... :D Dude...

I'm happier than a clam in wet sand; if I never have to exceed 75... nojoke

I look at it from a 0-60 and 1/4 perspective since most cars and bikes operate in that range. So the Z is hard to beat, especially considering the cost differential. But yes, at the very top end velocities the cars win because of aerodynamics.
