This past sunday was a beautiful day so we decide to take the RT to NY along the hudson river.
Harriman Park & Seven lakes drive was our first destination. Although the first part of the road itself is AWFUL(bad asphalt), the surroundings are quite beautiful. Made few stops along the road and a couple of the lakes.
After leaving there we headed up to Newburgh where the plan was to surprise the wife for a meal at a Peruvian restaurant. The surprise end up being on me, since i would not leave the spyder parked outside in the area the restaurant was in....:gaah: The restaurant looked ok, but neither one of us felt comfortable so off we went..... Headed back down south and crossed Bear mountain bridge and headed to
tarrytown/sleepy Hollow. Stopped there and had a nice meal in a greek restaurant and walked around the town for a bit. Got back to the spyder where there was standing room only around the spyder...:roflblack: you all know the drill...another 20 minutes going over things...Was fun though.
Left sleepy hollow, crossed the tappanzee bridge to head home. Took the scenic rt for a while along the Hudson, then got on the NJTP and flew home. Great day, saw 3 spyders, awesome scenery, logged in 308 miles, hit the 5k mark and spent some quality time together. This was also the first time we had our communications package together(schuberth built in SRC) so being able to talk was good...for the most part:roflblack: A few picts below.
