• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sudden Loss of Pressure

Most of us that have logged lots of street miles on a motorcycle. have experienced
Sudden Loss of Pressure. .. Maybe a blowout, or lost valve stem, or...

I have not heard anyone talk about having that experience with their Spyder.
Would love to hear about some real experience with that and our three wheeled friends.
Maybe what we can expect handling-wise. Thanks in advance.

Not sure..!!

I have only heard of one incedent a while back praising the roadsters systems for safely getting him off the freeway with a front flat. Don't recall if a blowout or sudden loss from other causes. Mostly I have seen slow leaks but have fortunately not had one myself....do carry repair kits for the small problems...

Have to join the "wait and see" camp here. Also do not remember any specific blow out situations recently.

Have over 125K miles without such an incident. Hope this statement does not give me bad luck. :roflblack:

Tires get checked on a regular basis. When they start getting below the wear bars--they get replaced.

Road hazards are what come to mind and I try to avoid them. So far, so good. No boards or wood sheets with nails in them. No 5 ft. deep pot holes, or boulders in the road.

I do believe there was a post that said the nanny worked and they were able to pull over and stop safely--but don't remember exactly when.

Always do a pre-ride safety check to include; visually looking at your tires and check for proper tire pressure.

I hit a giant chunk of metal, Joe said it was a car starter, had no way to avoid it. It hit in front then slammed into my rear tire as I was making a left turn. Tire went almost immediately flat and at 10 mph I had very little control can't imagine having it happen at higher speeds. I was probably doing 25 when I hit it and down to 10 when it went flat.
