• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had she said much of anything to those kids that made them feel "bad" about what they had done; at least one of them would have run home to Momma and cried about how the mean bus monitor yelled at him.
The parents then show up at the school with the little mutt in tow; yell at the Principal for about an hour or so, get the monitor written up or off the bus, and the kid gets off scott-free. :gaah:
You think it doesn't happen that way?? :roflblack:
That very situation presented itself in our District with one kid bullying another on the bus. The bully was sent home with a note letting the parents know that this wasn't exactly the type of behavior that's permitted on the bus...
The parents showed up screaming, "Not MY kid!" They were then showed the tape of the incident...
Instead of promising to give the kid some remedial lessions in good manners; they started yelling that the District "Had No Right" to tape their kid! :gaah:
This is what the Districts have to deal with...

I'm going to piss someone off but, I knew it wouldnt take long for someone to come on here and blame gramma for not being qualified...:banghead:.

My mom was a bus aide many yrs ago, and even back then she wasnt allowed to say squat to any kid except "stop that".. She did that for 2 yrs untill some brat wouldnt stop his crap, and the school didnt/couldnt do a thing about it. She quit when the kid would laugh at the bus driver and her while saying " nice try, but I'm back"...BTW, the kids in jail now....

Back in my day...."Pops", our bus driver would have pulled over and put you off the bus (with the full backing of the Superintendent of schools). Today, Pops would be out of a job and in the poor house because of the legal costs he would incur trying to protect himself (all because he took a thankless job that most wouldn't do). TIMES HAVE CHANGED AND NOT FOR THE BETTER.

:agree: I guess I haven,t had the opportunity to see how the times have changed, when I drove the Bus for my NG Band everyone would sing "Ten Bottles of Beer?" the whole trip and even the 1SG sang along?:yikes:

You guys must have been rich, I mean being driven to school in a fancy school bus.
Growing up in Brooklyn we walked to school, I never even seen a school bus, [except the ones with bars on the windows]
And there was no such thing as a snow day. :dontknow:

He's usually too busy trying to get the bus to each stop on time... :gaah: Make a parent wait an extra minute, and the School gets a call.
